Just saw the news and oddly enough I'm surprised I'm not surprised. I don't want to single anyone out, as it would mean missing out too many, but I want to say a huge thank you to everyone here. Thank you to everyone involved in creating, moderating and maintaining this forum. Thank you to all the e...

This isn't one I can think of, but it sounds delightfully twisted. Do you remember any other details you can give as clues? Was it colour or black and white? Any idea of the studio who made it? Were the characters human or humanized animals?

Kinda glad this thread got bumped cos I enjoyed it so much the first time round. Too bad a lot of the links don't work any more thanks to copyright claims and terminated users on YouTube! Here's a few more videos Winter - Spike Jones version (the tune that plays whenever there's snow) http://www.you...

One of my favourite things about the Disney features is the use of colour. It's so frustrating how the DVD and now Blu Ray releases are so often so messed up. Those screen grabs of Alice look awful.

This is the film that proved Walt Disney really was dead. Boring and dated and in some ways embarrassingly lazy. Turning a bear character from the last Disney film into a cat?! The only thing lazier would be to use him as a bear again in the next feature. Whole songs based around lame puns?! Ugh by ...

Hit! This, along with the Freleng classical music cartoons, are among my absolute favourites. Some inspired gags (e.g the bra scene, the mother swan hiding Daffy Duckling back under the rock and the squirrel with the gun), along with the odd ball casting of the characters in various roles, really pu...

Uh-oh, another who likes or hates the Little Whirwind thread. I like it:p Getting back on topic, I like Mickey's Birthday Party although it's not one of my favourites. However, maybe watching this cartoon so many times as a kid just took the edge off it? There's certainly a lot of good dancing and i...

I enjoy these pieces of music too much to think of any of them as being 'overused'. I'm not very knowledgeable about music at all (I know what I like!), but I've gotta say the composers of classic cartoons picked some wonderful pieces of classical music over the years and it's great that the interne...

We all know one of the reasons for the censorship of our favorite cartoons was because of the "negative influence" it might have on "impressionable youth." However, has there actually been any recorded instances in which a child did something because they saw it in a cartoon? There was a ...

Wak! I hope you're kidding. Any fundraising I do will be for actual charities, not humungous media conglomerates run by some of the richest people on earth!
