I made out pretty well, I got: A Snuggie (I can now join the Snuggie cult) Popeye DVD Chuck Jones Tom and Jerry DVD Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs DVD "Milwaukee Then and Now" (a rather depressing book if you like Victorian buildings). candy A really cool old leather case from either the 30's or 40...

Love this cartoon too - like others said, it has a lot charm. I think the particular animation "era" at MGM it came from helps it to achieve that feeling of warmth (I can't really imagine it working as well if it were made, say, in the Cinemascope era). I love how the design and backgrounds are hand...

I recall going to see Destino in a theater in Milwaukee and enjoying - so I liked seeing it again. I must admit that my only (admittedly silly) gripe is with how the credits were handled. I kind of wish they had gone for a more classic credits-in-the-beginning approach. I adore Salvadore Dali's pain...

Thats were my guilt is coming from. The directors worked hard on these cartoons, and for only one dollar i almost feel like im stealing. But i have most of the golden collections and am getting the remainder of them for Christmas, so i guess i shouldnt feel too guilty. ;) Don't feel guilty - I don'...

They're considering Mike Myers to play Marvin the Martian. I'll say that again. THEY'RE CONSIDERING MIKE MYERS TO PLAY MARVIN THE MARTIAN. For some reason, I keep looking around to see if I'm on a hidden camera or something. Well, this is bizarre. It sort of reminds me of when they had Tiffany play...

I was in high school when I started posting at the TTTP, not at the very very first incarnation, but at the second one where everything had to be "archived" after 100 posts or so. Now I guess I'm some kind of an adult. I liked seeing that Toon Zone GAC post. I'd forgotten about my old Chilly Willy G...

"Bartholomew Vs. The Wheel" made it! Now really, that cartoon isn't THAT great. I know it's his opinion but... meh, it's "cute" that's all I can really say about that cartoon. It's funny, but I really really liked that cartoon when I was little, so I was sort of happy to see it listed. Nice to see ...

That was a great documentary. I enjoyed learning about Doug Wildey and the studio politics that played a part in how the show was created. I also liked how it talked about the trouble with trying to do such a graphically stylized and "realistic" show with budget restraints and artists who were used ...

My only quibble with the movie was how Charles Muntz and Carl seemed to be too close in age at the end of the film. In the opening newsreels, Muntz kind of struck me as being at least in his early 30's when Carl was eight or so, making him about 25 years older. If Carl is 78 at the end of the movie,...
