Leaving The Forum

I regret to say that, after careful consideration, I'm going to be leaving the GAC forums. I just have too many personal things going on at the moment. And, thus, I feel leaving the forum would probably be the best thing for me to do. I had a very good time during my 6+ years on here and certainly w...

If nothing else, Porky And Gabby is an interesting stepping stone in the Porky Pig series of cartoons. This was the second Blanc-voiced Porky Pig cartoon. And, since Warner Brothers now had a voice actor who didn't stutter every other syllable, they could give Porky more of a personality. Oddly, it ...

Do we know it was only two weeks? No, I'm just going by what I vaguely remember. Was it every day of however many weeks it was? I think so. Did you make up the term "Buddy Block," or did Nick actually use it and advertise this? (Sounds silly, but they've actually done sillier.) I made it up. :o

I have a distinct memory of seeing Porky Of The Northwoods in B&W on Nick around the 93-95 period, along with multiple airings of Wise Quacks and an isolated Buddy's Showboat. I don't recall ever seeing Porky Of The North Woods on Nick. But I do remember them airing Wise Quacks quite frequently. I ...

Last night I looked at Jon Cooke's "Looney Tunes on Nickelodeon" page for the first time in a year or two, and noticed tha it incorrectly says that the changes were made in 1994. In fact, the list of cartoons available on the channel includes what the channel had from 1990-1992 and then skips to 19...

I knew most of that, but was unaware that Nickelodeon showed four cartoons per half hour (I got Nickelodeon after the big change was made but got to see it occasionally at other people's houses, and this fact still doesn't ring any bells). I don't think the "Censored Looney Tunes Page" lists many o...

What do you mean? There's no dialogue in this cartoon... unless you're referring to the very end where Fudd bursts into tears. Yeah, that part sounds like Blanc. That's what I'm referring to. It seems that, usually when Elmer had only one or two short lines of dialog, Blanc was brought in to voice ...

Some of you should remember this cartoon being a subject in my old Bad Cartoon Review Of The Month series: http://forums.goldenagecartoons.com/showthread.php?t=14481&highlight=Good+Night+Elmer
