From last time I recall though, the BCDB had very tight categories--one for Warner Brothers, one for MGM, etc... That's sounds like the classic mistake people tend to do when they start forums. They create far too many categories and subforums. The result is usually that there's not enough activity...

I'm also very sad to see the forums disappear. This place is in my opinion the best animation forum on the net, and it would be a shame if everyone here would be scattered to the wind after this weekend. I really hope it will be possible to pass the hosting responsibilities on to someone else, and t...

I don't want anyone to blame them. I was reffering to another thread where someone was bashing Jerry. I can blame them ;) Not for the use of the wrong prints, of course (and I'll wait until I get the set before I make up my mind on how upset I am about that). However, it does seem that they need to...

Sadly we have to wait for volume 2 to see this one. Usually I wouldn't care about something like that but the fact that the very last cartoon on this DVD comes RIGHT before Mouse Cleaning(chronilogically) kind of annoys me. Oh well. :( But that's no coincidence . They stopped at 37 cartoons spesifi...

I agree. It would help if someone who was actually involved in the making of this set gave us some insight on what is it that happened that prevented these titles of being used. Absolutely. For all we know, it could be that the owner of the prints figured that they'll be able to sell them for a lot...

From WB Classic Animation Facebook: "Thanks for your inquiry. We wanted to take the time to answer your question properly, so we went to our resident expert of the classic animation. Here is what we found: The main titles on the master film elements of the cartoons were often changed for reissue. T...

B.S. release. This is getting silly. Nobody promised new titles for this release. I will agree that it's a little bit odd, and a little disappointing, that titles we know has been discovered recently has not been restored and included here. But that doesn't make it a BS release. Every time a new DV...

OK, that's a bit disappointing. But, as I understand it, the original titles were lost in the studio fire. Do we know for sure that the original title cards for the other cartoons has been found? I guess I can answer this myself, then :) I remembered that Devid Gerstein had dug up some original tit...

Cartoons that had the original opening on previous dvd & video releases are keeping it in this collection ("Puss Gets The Boot" and "The Night Before Christmas"). But, according to this guide of the opening titles posted on blu-ray.com, it looks like all the other cartoons have reissue titles (many...
