I'm kind of tired of WB's mishandling of their Tom and Jerry home video releases too. But the pessimistic, angry, ranting posts I'm seeing here by members who seem to have inflated senses of entitlement are actually starting to get incredibly aggravating. Thank you for writing this as I was feeling...

I just canceled my Amazon pre-order. Even though they are showing a picture of the blu-ray box and the price is higher, the description reads "DVD". I'm not going to take a chance until they correct that.

I cannot answer all questions at this time (because sometimes I say something that come back to haunt me... or WHV will get mad at me) However, the "restored-from-reissue-prints" you speak of... you might be referring to the CRI negatives (Color reversal internegatives) which are being used for the...

Wow! Pessimistic much? These are being restored from a source that we haven't seen before. As many of you know, the original negatives to most of the shorts were lost in a fire years ago. These are coming from, I believe, the best fine-grain prints available and will look better than ever, including...

Yes, I'd rather not say. It could come back at some point and my contract doesn't allow me to divulge details.

I only hope Earl (or anyone else who knows how these characters work) writes this. Why couldn't they go with my idea that I mentioned in the Sesame Spoofs thread? I hope that episode is still there. I didn't have anything to do with this project. I was in the middle of writing a different Tom and J...

I never knew anything about the proposed shorts in 1966, but I can shed a little light on the project that Jerry Eisenberg was talking about and another one that nobody seems to know about. I was in the middle of writing a Marx Bros. FEATURE film for Filmation when the plug got pulled on it. This wa...

I think it's more like the movie Gabby is Pinto Colvig's Grumpy voice sped up, which does have a rasp in it, and the short's Gabby is Goofy sped up. Colvig has a certain way of pronouncing words that Mercer doesn't have and it's clearly Colvig's pronunciation in the movie, especially when he's singi...

It's amazing that any of Kimball's stylized stuff got made because Walt hated it. You can attribute it to the fact that Disney was preoccupied with Disneyland. Walt didn't even like the look of "101 Dalmatians," but he was was stuck with the Xerox technique to cut costs after "Sleeping Beauty" cost ...
