Shutting down? You're kidding. I can't find an announcement anywhere. What's going on? There are announcements all over the place. http://forums.goldenagecartoons.com/showthread.php?t=16953 F. Fox http://yowpyowp.blogspot.com http://tralfaz.blogspot.com

I meant to mention that we really need to get our best threads to a safe place for reference (and for memories sake!). But the threads aren't going anywhere. Allow me to quote from Jon's original note: A searchable, read-only archive of the Forums will continue to be available when GAC relaunches. ...

Maybe the other Jack Miller is Disney character designer John P. Miller? He was credited as Jack Miller on "Saludos Amigos". No, because John P. Miller has his own listing, "artist h1545 N Stanley av". "Artist" is pretty specific; "Studio Worker" could mean live action. F. Fox http://yowpyowp.blogs...

Fibber, I just wanted to post a quick thank you for all the great ads. They really add a great deal to these threads, and I love looking at them. Keep 'em coming. Mickey, since the board is shutting down in a day, this is going to be the last of them. Thanks for your kind note. I was fortunate to f...

Once again, this was not released in May 1931. I've found a bunch of ads for this month from March 1931 (but no sooner). I've only posted a couple. The one about a "klever" cartoon is confusing. I can't see that another cartoon called 'Dumb Patrol' was made, nor any evidence of a "Klever" studio or ...

Who was the narrator for this short? IMDB says it was John Deering--yet I'll take that with a grain of salt. I thought it was Deering, but it could be John Shepperd. It sounds like the same guy from 'Tom Thumb in Trouble.' I can't say for sure. F. Fox http://yowpyowp.blogspot.com http://tralfaz.blo...

Some ads for 'The Mighty Hunters'. One was billed with 'The Fighting 69th', which seems appropriate.

Didn't Chuck Jones wrote this one? Unless someone has some definitive proof, I'm going with the credits. This board shouldn't turn into GuessoPedia or JumpToConclusionsopedia in its waning days. Not great quality on these theatre ads. F. Fox http://yowpyowp.blogspot.com http://tralfaz.blogspot.com ...
