Yes, it is still up and running. What browser are you using, IE? Firefox? Google Chrome? Are you sure you're typing in the correct URL? Here's a link , try it and see if it loads for you. Also, try going to the main BCDB website and then click on the link to the Forum on the left-hand side near the ...

This sounds very much like the older "Who did the animated titles for A&C Meet Frankenstein?" thread. There's really no way of knowing who did the titles on this A&C film for certain; as any studio documentation that might shed light on this is probably lost to the ages. It could have been Lantz, or...

...the Big Cartoon Forum seems rather small and sleepy nowadays. Perhaps, but I really believe that can change. From time to time I hear people knocking the BCDB because of inaccuracies. OK, fine... maybe there are some entries in the database that need fixing; but do people realize how much time a...

This is indeed sad news. I've enjoyed my time here; although I actually started out on the BCDB Forum and still maintain a membership and moderator status there; along with Glowworm, Daffy's Leftfoot and, I'm sure, a host of others. Glowworm: You've done a phenomenal job with your CDOW's here. I hop...

What's up with the vertically strecthed face, and the one with the lopsided cheeks? I think those may simply different ways of demonstrating how Bugs's face would contort when either speaking or showing emotion. They may also be drawn that way as a guide to the assistant animators and in-betweeners.

I believe #1 is by Robert Givens. I noticed Bob Clampett's inscription and signature at the bottom of #2; are those his own sketches? There's a similarity to the first one in #3; which suggests it was used by the Avery unit... The very last one, I believe, was the one done by Bob McKimson; ditto for...

Brandon Panther wrote:Nope. That was Jeff Bergman. He did a lot of George's lines, and at least one line of Spacely's.
I forget, did George O'Hanlon die during production of the movie? I know he was quite ill and, by that time, also legally-blind; so that his lines had to be fed to him one at a time.

Could you post pics of these, so we know the ones to which you're referring? One of the earliest, IIRC, is either by or attributed to Charlie Thorson. I may be mistaken, but I think that one was the subject of some controversy; both here and at The Animation Show forums. The best-known model sheets ...
