You mean all of this about the unmade episode is for real?
(Never heard of that one!)

Now here's what I believe would have FOLLOWED the W7 logo if Looney Tunes had continued into the 70's. Hint, it could have instead been used on the shorts released on TV that decade; don't know why they didn't think of it!

I didn't know anything about that show, until someone put up the track online. IIRC, it may not have even been American, though Casey Kasem announces the opening. So I imagine it probably was before 1971, and the score could have been something that had been in the vaults anyway (e.g produced for th...

Yes but the point I'm making is at THAT point in the studio's history, less (meaning less and less and less....) was preferable. In other words, reuse only ONE of the two themes to make things easier and cheaper. So only record and reuse one theme despite the fact that there are two series and that...

Bill Lava Merrie Melodies theme intro and outro sequences

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-Khev3xCoY Just decided to throw this together now for some reason. A few years ago, there was a discussion either here, or at least on Toonzone, but more likely here right after I first joined, where a pair of TV cues were suggested as the missing "Merrily We Roll A...

The new 3D graphics are cool! They made excellent use of it in the Roadrunner clip! (especially the loop-de-loop, and using the unfrozen patch of ground as a boon for the coyote to leap forward). I say they messed up Bugs' upper lip/nose, and it looks like the modern Trix rabbit design. The coyote l...

Beyond the character refinement, Daffy was still one where they went too far with it. It's somewhat ironic how not only he devolved into the exact opposite of his wacky persona, but the erosion somehow outlasted Bugs Bunny's theatrical run (and that's also if we're talking about one-dimensional cha...

Has anybody ever stopped and thought about what might have happened if Warner Bros. never sold any of it's pre-1948 features or shorts? If ALL Warner Bros. cartoons were always owned by Warner Bros.? Obviously, more cartoons could have been shown as part of The Bugs Bunny Show. And the various comp...

It was probably a blessing in disguise...can you imagine Chuck Jones working on a DePatie Freleng or 7 Arts budget? Yikes! He probably would have done them good. His stuff at MGM seemed more classic WB'ish than the DFE/7 Arts stuff. Eugene Poddany was a much better successor to Stalling/Franklyn, I...

The original titles to "Walky..." are lost forever, but I can assume that "Gotta Be This or That" was the title card music. Is that stuff lost forever, or locked up in UCLA or some other vault somewhere? A few of them have been restored in the remasters, but some haven't, so I guess they're really ...
