Jeez, talk about a late notice.I vote we migrate to Big Cartoon Forum. I hope this board is going to be saved onto a terrabyte drive, its got a lot of good information on here that will be lost otherwise. I don't think that's such a good idea. BCDB isn't as friendly as it was now. :/ Ian, it sounds...

I don't think the ToonZone forums would be such a good idea.

A member once said that ToonZone's community doesn't give a crap about classic or quality animation, and the Big Cartoon Forum seems rather small and sleepy nowadays.

That's how I once felt when PPG world forum closed down. I joined another ppg forum but it wasn't the same. Yet the world isn't going to end. There's always http://forum.bcdb.com/forum/gforum.cgi? ? From what I know of, it was easy to join and folks were friendly. BCDB isn't as friendly as it was n...

(sniffles) It is a time of sadness as GAC Forum Founder, Jon Cooke, has announced that by the end of October... The Golden Age Cartoon Forums will be ...

If Jon Cooke was smart enough to read this forum topic, he'd know exactly how I'm feeling right now! :(

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Running a forum like this can be a pretty thankless job sometimes, so it really does mean a lot. Like Matt said earlier, this isn't the end of GAC itself, just the Forums. A new chapter approaches and I hope everyone sticks around for the ride. I DON'T WANT THIS...

What we need to do is get Jon Cooke to pass the forum onto a new owner.

Someone who knows this forum from the back of his brain.

I nominate Toonatic.

Keep the toon faith, Ian...the Forums themselves may be moving to Brigadoon, but all of us (well, anyway, most of us) will go on skulking in shadowy corners of the Internet for mutual toon support when needed. Wherever there's an unsettling cartoon history question, we'll be there. Wherever there's...
