I seem to recall reading somewhere that in the late 1950s, Paramount Cartoon Studios (having gotten its name after being called "Famous Studios" for a long time) opened up a television animation division to create the classic 1958-1961 "Felix the Cat" animated series. [...] I'm not sure if this is ...

Mickey Mouse

Runners-up: Felix the Cat, Oswald Rabbit, Bugs Bunny

Mickey only gets his high ranking because of his strong non-cartoon content—Floyd Gottfredson's and Romano Scarpa's comics. If we're supposed to base our judgement on cartoons only, Felix wins this easily.

I know this anomaly may scare some of you: Why would this SCARE anybody?! You're seeing a film where—as originally released—the audio begins a second before the picture element starts. The AAP title was spliced in at the start of the picture element, cutting off the opening second of the audio. So ...

Thad, the Boom Rosa volume you saw at my place was Walt Disney Treasury Vol 1, not the Vol 3 Plop is asking about. Boom actually did cancel Vol 3. (Also Vol 4, though that was to have been a Romano Scarpa volume—with the Rosa Donald chronology finished, my editor had planned to collect some ot...
