The uncut version is still the "edited" version on a major technical level.

Today's order:

Hare Ribbin' - a.a.p.
Life with Feathers - a.a.p.
Porky & Daffy - Sunset (computer-colorized most likely)
Homeless Hare - WB-owned color cartoon
Pest In The House, A - a.a.p.
Past Perfumance - WB-owned color cartoon
"Let's bury the hatch-, I say let's bury the hatchet, but not in our cartoons boy!"

In other words, air the LT cartoons as they were originally released. I appreciate being able to watch them on TV again, but eventually CN needs to stop censoring them.

P+D was definitely CC today. Very solid lineup of cartoons, probably the best one yet. Tomorrow will be almost all AAP. Jack-Wabbit will also have the 1938-1941 close music over its dubbed title. Just warning you all now, its the same thing with "Corny Concerto" whenever thats on.

I'm not sure why you list the old TV distributors who are long gone like Sunset and a.a.p., regardless Porky and Daffy was not the Sunset print (that had crappy Sunset titles), nor was it the crappy 1960's redrawn with the 60s WB shield, it was the slightly less offensive computer colorized version with a 1990 'color copyright' at the beginning and full original beginning and end titles, although colorized. It would be nice to actually see this short in it's original and proper black and white, I hate colorization of anything. At least this was better than the old redrawn they used to show all the time, you can now read the signs and newspapers clearly and there is some sense of the original animation left.

Just for historical fact, and to keep track of how many cartoons from each package are aired. It seems that most cartoons aired by CN since last month's marathon have been either former a.a.p.-owned cartoons or color releases from after July 1948 (these having been retained by WB over the years).

Starting with the marathon, so far only three former Sunset-owned cartoons have aired: one as a redrawn, and two as computer-colorized versions. Of course, it is my opinion that WB disown all existing redrawn versions of any B&W cartoons in their library, by recalling and destroying every print of the redrawns known to exist, and by giving computer-colorizations if they ever have the desire to.

Notes for today:

"Hold the Lion, Please" was the dubbed version with a late '30s end title card
"I Love to Singa" was the Blue Ribbon version, and also dubbed with a late '30s end title card
"Porky In Wackyland" was, not surprisingly, the 1995 computer-colorized version, but retained the somtimes-censored "Mammy" bit
"The Heckling Hare" ended with Bugs' "fooled ya, didn't we?" and omitted Willoughby's "yeah" to make it smoother. And boy do they love that late '30s title card, because there it was again, complete with the late '30s closing music- ditto for "Jack-Wabbit and the Beanstalk"!

It was nice to see "Hold the Lion, Please", it's been a while since I've seen it. I forgot about that funny ending with Mrs. Bugs! A few more things I thought while watching:

-The colorized version of Porky in Wackyland looks good! As long as they don't show the redrawns, I'm okay with the colorized versions.
-Jack-Wabbit and the Beanstalk is another cartoon that really needs a restoration, it's a little too dark in some scenes.
-I'm not sure if I like the bumpers. I'd rather have them make something new instead of just repeating the same scenes over and over again.

CN could rerun the bumpers they made back in 2001, but that would make too much sense.

I'd love to see them bring back the opening and closing for "The Looney Tunes Show" that they used to do on Saturday mornings (God, remember that? Three straight hours of Looney Tunes every Saturday?). But given how many commercials the network has now, there probably wouldn't be enough time for them.

Hold The Lion, Please! - a.a.p.
I Love To Singa - a.a.p.
Porky in Wackyland - Sunset (computer-colorized)
The Heckling Hare - a.a.p.
Ready..Set..Zoom! - WB-owned color cartoon
Jack-Wabbit and The Beanstalk - a.a.p.

Porky in Wackyland is one of few titles to have only a computer-colorized version (never redrawn)
