Image

Director: Robert McKimson
Story: Warren Foster
Animation: Phil DeLara, J.C. Melendez, Emery Hawkins, Charles McKimson, Pete Burness
Layouts: Cornett Wood
Backgrounds: Richard H. Thomas
Voice Characterisations: Mel Blanc
Musical Direction: Carl W. Stalling

Series: Looney Tunes (later re-released as a “Blue Ribbon” Merrie Melodie, but only the opening LT titles have been replaced)
Release Date: January 28, 1950

Synopsis: Porky Pig intends to do a still-life painting of a mountain/lake scenery, but Daffy attempts to pose in front of it, much to Porky's annoyance. Daffy further heckles him by claiming to own the lake and proceeds to remove it from the painting before leaving. He quickly reappears as “the old man of the mountains”, and demands their removal too! Soon enough, Porky gets hold of his rifle, but the Sheriff (Daffy in another disguise) charges him for “shooting ducks out of season”, which is punishable by execution. However, Porky is saved by Pocahontas, who is yet again Daffy.
Later, Porky gives up painting and attempts to catch a fish, but Daffy challenges him by insisting that he shows him a fishing licence, which Porky produces. Upon another request, Porky shows Daffy his dog licence, and also a licence to sell hair tonic to bald eagles in Omaha, Nebraska. But alas, no marriage licence. After spurning Daffy's “proposal”. Porky decides to drive home, but his car won't start. After witnessing Daffy imitating the engine after stripping it out, Porky forces Daffy to literally become one (and being subjected to a “manual choke” at regular intervals). Daffy declares that he shouldn't be treated this way, but Porky produces a permit that tells him otherwise!

You can't bounce a meatball
Though try with all your might
Turn on the radio
I want to fly a kite!

Possibly the craziest Daffy Duck short that McKimson ever made.

I laugh at the people on YouTube who think they're being clever by asking, "So, where are the boobs in this cartoon?"

It may be tedious, but please, when mentioning the music cues, could you mention which scenes they accompany? Thanks.

Where does it say that he can't reference comments made on YouTube?

That screen grab where Daffy turns white is one of my favorite moments in this cartoon. So funny.
